Who we are
We are a new RoSPA (RoADAR) accredited club based in Kineton, Warwickshire. We love riding and have great time whilst riding our bikes. We are here for those who want to ride to the highest level available to civilians.
What we do
We help train riders to achieve their RoSPA qualification and follow the guidelines of Roadcraft motorcycle handbook, the police training bible.
Why we do it
We all want to ride safely and to learn more everyday we ride. We have a great opportunity to help others whilst doing something we love. It’s that simple!
Newly established in 2021 to offer Advanced Motorcycle Training to riders in the South Warwickshire and surrounding areas. South Warwickshire Advanced Riders are part of the RoSPA network of Advanced Motorcycle Training Groups. The aim of the Group is to improve the riding skills of motorcyclists and facilitate their acquisition of the skills, understanding and techniques required to succeed in the RoSPA Advanced Motorcycle Test.
The Founder Members of the South Warwickshire Advanced Riders are a group of passionate and experienced bikers who recognised that there was a lack of training opportunities for motorcyclists in the South Warwickshire area and were determined to change this. Based in Kineton and surrounded by some of the best motorcycling roads in Warwickshire the Group has regular monthly social meetings, monthly ride outs as well as running Rider Skills courses throughout the year.
We are always looking for new members – all you need is a full motorcycle license and of course a bike! All are welcome!
Group meetings
These are held on the 2nd Monday of each month (excluding December) starting at 19.30 hrs at the White Swan in Kineton.
All Group Members as well as family and friends are welcome.
As well as short technical talks, external guest speakers and free coffee and biscuits these get togethers present a great chance to question members of the Group Committee and catch up with other friends.
Group ride outs
These are organised on the 3rd Sunday of each month taking in a variety of roads, routes and coffee stops.
Leaving from the White Swan in Kineton at 09.00hrs with the compulsory safety briefing at 08.45hrs. Those wishing to join the Ride Outs must have taken part in one of the regular Group Ride Training Courses.
All Riders should arrive in good time. Motorcycles must be road worthy, legal and have a full tank of fuel. Appropriate clothing should worn.
Specific skills courses
While the general training sessions will cover all aspects of Advanced Riding Skills and Techniques experience has shown that there are a number of Advanced Skills which can be significantly improved by taking part in these one day specialised Training Courses.
Each course will comprise a short in-depth review of the theory and physics behind the Skills and Techniques before suitable demonstrations are given followed by an opportunity to practice and improve the specific skill or technique. These One Day Skills Training Courses are open to all Associates and Full Members
